With the upcoming release of Version 19, we will no longer produce trial CD’s. Trials will only be available via download, and prospects will no longer be provided an option when completing the trial request form. New trial software will be available near the release of Version 19.

Beginning April 2nd of this year, new 29 and 69 timekeeper levels of Tabs3 became available. You should consider getting new quotes for firms on 39 or 99 timekeeper levels that previously elected not to upgrade to Platinum due to pricing. If their timekeeper levels do not exceed 29 or 69, they could consider a Platinum upgrade to a reduced timekeeper level at a cheaper price. Contact the Sales Department at 402-419-2200 for an upgraded quote, or email [email protected]. If you still have the original quote, be sure to provide the quote number to the sales member.
Referral Program

Just a reminder that we have a referral program available for individuals that refer new customer leads that turn into sales. They can earn $100 for sales of 1-4 attorney firms and $250 for sales of 5+ attorney firms.
We encourage you to promote this to your users! As you know, word of mouth leads are a terrific source for high quality leads. By giving them a little extra incentive to promote Tabs3, we hope this generates new leads and sales for you!

Changes to Pricing Page

Updated pricing was recently sent that includes new prices for Tabs3 Billing software as well as updated maintenance renewal amounts. The document also included split pricing broken down by software and maintenance. Retail Pricing and Total Retail are accurate, but a few corrections were made to the Software Portion and Maintenance Portion areas of the document. As a reminder effective June 1, 2018, we will no longer support version 16 of Tabs3 and PracticeMaster software. Knowledge Base article R11050 provides additional information about the product life cycle of Tabs3 and PracticeMaster software.
Please advise clients using version 16 that they will need to update in order to receive support after June 1 of this year.
Monthly User Newsletters have included reminders on the sunsetting of version 16, and clients using version 16 will be reminded of this when they speak with a Technical Support Representative. Please contact the Sales Departments for questions or update pricing information.
Version 19 Pre-Release

Version 19 Pre-Release will be available soon. In fact, we’re expecting to have it ready for consultants around the 3rd week of March, and for users near the end of March. As a reminder, you can sign your firms up for pre-release at Tabs3.com/prerelease.
When communicating with prospects and users, please be sure to refer to it as pre-release, and not beta. The feedback we’ve received suggests the term pre-release is less threatening, and this is the term we will use going forward.

We recently made minor changes to shipping costs to adjust for price increases by UPS. Below are new shipping costs for COD and prepaid letters. Most orders are now delivered electronically, so this won’t affect many of them.
Please contact a member of the Sales Department at 402-419-2200 to verify prices such as any order containing multiple CDs, Saturday delivery, or shipping beyond the lower 48 states.

In our most recent release, we added new options to the Tabs3 Fee Compensation Rules Report. You can now include allocation amounts for each rule. You can include the total amount allocated for each rule and optionally include the amount allocated by payment for each rule. This new feature is available in Version 18.1.4.894 or later.

Accounts Payable and Trust Accounting financial software now supports printing of the state payer ID number in Box 17 of the 1099-MISC form. This new feature will be a welcome change to Wisconsin firms who provide 1099-MISC forms to their vendors and payees.
To facilitate this feature, we added a new Firm’s State ID # field to Firm Information in System Configuration. As a result, this new field is also available in Tabs3 Statement Designer and Email Templates, as well as PracticeMaster Report Writer and Word Document Assembly. You can read all about this new feature in Knowledge Base article R11756 – Printing the State ID on APS & TAS 1099-MISC Forms.
We will be emailing all Wisconsin firms on November 6th about this new feature so they have time to update the software before they need to process their 1099 forms for 2017. If you work with firms in the Wisconsin region, plan on following up with them to make sure they are aware that this modification to 1099 forms is now available.
This new feature is available in Version 18.1.4.878 and later, which is now available for download.
