The Forum

What a terrific Forum. It was good seeing so many familiar faces, and some new ones. We’re just as busy after the Forum as we were preparing for this big event. Nelco Webinar on May 24th at 1pm Central Time

Modern technology allows criminals to create forged cashier’s checks that are virtually indistinguishable from legitimate cashier’s checks. As a result, it may take a surprisingly long number of days, even weeks, to catch the forgery. But even when it is uncovered, the victim will still be in the same pickle, since financial institutions will take the position that the person who deposited the check with them is responsible and will charge it back against the depositor’s bank account. Office 2016 Integration

As we start to notify firms about the update to Version 18, we want to make sure you know that the Office 2016 integration with Tabs3 and PracticeMaster has been fully tested. This includes Office 2016 32-bit and 64-bit versions, as well as Exchange Server 2016. Additionally, Version 18 is also compatible with using Outlook 2016 as the MAPI client on the Platinum Server for the Exchange Connector (as of v18.1.3.390 posted March 14, 2016). Knowledge Base article R11657, Third Party Integration Requirements, has been updated to reflect that Office 2016 and Exchange Server 2016 have been tested.

ScanSnap integration Video Available

We recently shared an article on the new ScanSnap integration available in Version 18. Check out the video they published explaining the PracticeMaster integration with ScanSnap. As a reminder, clients can use ScanSnap scanners to quickly add searchable scanned documents (via OCR technology) to PracticeMaster from ScanSnap’s Quick Menu. ScanSnap gives users the confidence of knowing that all documents will be found using PracticeMaster’s text search functionality.

ProPay Support and New Client Inquiry Information

With the release of Version 18.1, Tabs3 now integrates with ProPay for credit card processing. Below is some helpful information regarding ProPay.

How do I contact ProPay Customer Service?

You can contact ProPay Customer Service at [email protected] or by clicking the Technical Support link in the Credit Card Authorization window. ProPay customer service is available Monday through Friday from 7AM to 5PM MT, and you can typically expect a response within an hour (they tell us usually within 15 min). We recommend including your firm name as well as a phone number where you can be reached when submitting a support request.

Note: ProPay Customer Service is optimized to respond to Tabs3 firms’ support requests via the [email protected] email address. Attempting to contact ProPay by telephone is very likely to result in a significantly longer wait time.

How can I sign up to accept credit cards through ProPay?

If you are ready to sign up, visit Tabs3.com/ProPay. If you have questions about setting up a ProPay account, you can fill out the contact form on the signup page. It’s important to note that if a firm processes over $50k of transactions in a month, they will need to sign up through an underwriting process, but that should take less than 72 hours.
