Saying Goodbye to a Longtime Friend

For those of you that haven’t heard, we recently lost a dear friend and colleague. Paul Mansfield passed away after a fierce battle with health issues. His relationship with STI spanned over 30 years. Paul was smart, lively, funny, caring, polite, and treated others like he wanted to be treated. Many of us had the fortunate opportunity to know Paul, and hear his impassioned speech about life during the forum just a few years ago. Paul was one of a kind and will be missed dearly by our STI family. Below is a Facebook post by Paul with Dan Berlin outside our office during his last visit.

TechnoLawyer Review of Version 19

TechnoLawyer recently reviewed Version 19 and they were very impressed with the new look and features.  You can find the review here and on the Tabs3 website in the News section. Check it out! Feel free to share it with clients and prospects who are interested in Version 19.

Version 19 Highlight Video

I wanted to pass along another marketing tool you can use to encourage your clients to update to Version 19. We’ve created a short video with highlights from the new look of Tabs3. You can find it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BrA7FJrX6z8

This video is also a great way to show prospects the new look of Tabs3, so feel free to include it in emails to leads also! If you haven’t already used the email templates for Version 19 that we sent out a few weeks ago, they are now on eNews here.

Positive Pay Fraud Detection Tool

Some firms that issue many checks use an automated fraud detection tool called Positive Pay. This service is available with most banks and matches account number, check number and dollar amount of each check compared to a previously authorized list issued by the company. We’re occasionally asked if our software can work in conjunction with this service. Although we do not have direct integration with it, firms that use the ODBC Driver or Platinum SQL can obtain the required information out of Accounts Payable using queries.

Many of our consultants are capable of producing this type of information. If you’re not already familiar with a consultant proficient with ODBC querying, please contact Joe Abler in our office. You can also visit the Find a Consultant map on our website to locate a certified consultant you may wish to contact.

Version 19 Press Release

A new press release has been posted on our website regarding the official release of Version 19. Click here to view it in its entirety. To view all press releases, visit https://www.tabs3.com/whatsnew/whatsnew.html.

All Orders Version 19

Since our official release in July, firms upgrading timekeepers or users have been provided an option to update to Version 19 or remain on Version 18. Beginning today, placing an upgrade or new product sale for firms not already on Version 19 will require customers to update existing licenses to the most current version.

Deb Hilde Retirement

We are sad to announce that our most tenured staff member has retired. Deb Hilde has been a valued member of our STI family for over 32 years! Deb has managed the Documentation Department for numerous years, and she’s the primary reason our documentation is some of the best in the industry. Thanks to those of you that shared your kind thoughts about Deb as a person, and her impeccable work. We will definitely miss her. Enjoy retirement Deb!

Price Estimator

We hope everyone is enjoying the look and feel of the new Home Page and Knowledge Base sites!  Our previous site included the Price Estimator which was used by prospects and consultants alike to determine retail pricing.  Our new pricing page prompts firms that have 6 or more users/timekeepers to complete a brief intake form to receive a price quote.  This allows us to capture information to generate a lead.  We follow up with a custom quote to these firms and provide consultant contact information.  Firms with 5 or fewer users can use the Price Estimator on the web site, but they are also encouraged to request a custom quote so we can capture their lead information as well.  In addition to standard license costs, we now include subscription pricing for firms of this size.

For those of you that used the original Price Estimator to obtain retail pricing for all firm sizes, it is still available.  It’s located at http://support.tabs3.com/pricing/pricing_info.aspx with a link right here on eNews under Discount Rates | Pricing Calculator.  This link is intended for consultant use only.  Please do not share with prospects or clients.

Be sure to email DeAnna Masterson in our office if you happen to notice anything that doesn’t appear correctly on eNews, Knowledge Base, or our Home Page.

New Tabs3 Website!

The new Tabs3 website is now live so check it out! We hope you like the changes and new modern look. We’re proud of all the work and effort that went into it. Be sure to let DeAnna Masterson know if you have suggestions or notice anything that doesn’t look correct.

You’ll notice on the new website that pricing is only provided for small firms. Mid-sized firms and larger will be required to fill out minimal firm information before they receive pricing which will allow us to capture more leads to share.  This Consultant Pricing Page link is for consultants only, and will take you to the original Price Estimator that includes pricing at all levels. This link will soon be available on eNews.
