A Friend Retires

I have good news for some, bad news for others. The good news is, Jim Degnan has retired. The bad news is, Jim Degnan has retired! After years (who are we trying to kid, decades) of supporting and selling Tabs3 software, Jim has traded in his Tabs3 polo shirt and slacks for something a bit more comfortable – swim trunks. We expect him to do what most Floridian retirees do, cruise around in a boat with grandkids, getting a tan and watching the sun go down. We appreciate all of Jim’s efforts over the years. Good luck in retirement Jim, you’ll be missed as a colleague and friend to many.
We’re currently finalizing a new integration with LawPay that will be available as part of Version 2020 Pre-Release. As part of the joint venture, LawPay is offering Tabs3 certified consultants a free LawPay subscription ($180/year value). A fully-functioning LawPay account will make it easy for you to demo the integration. Plus, you can use it to accept payments yourself. You’ll only pay processing fees on live charges. New features are available for Tabs3 users:
- Added a Transfer button to the Fee and Cost Entry windows, allowing you to quickly transfer an existing transaction. When transferring, you can optionally update the rate to use the new client’s rate.
- Added a Replicate button to the Fee and Cost Entry windows, allowing you to quickly make a copy of an existing transaction. When replicating, you can specify which client to copy to as well as optionally update the rate and amount.

Many of you have likely heard sounds of power tools in the background recently when calling our office. We’re not leasing space to Jack Hammers R-Us, we’re remodeling! Our structure is approximately 30 years old and it was time to dress this place up.
To prepare for changes we’ve knocked down walls, moved employees and found temporary locations for numerous items. See a few of the post-demolition pictures below. For those of you that have toured this facility and are familiar with the layout of our building, the first picture is our old shipping area. The 2nd is looking past Invoicing through the downstairs kitchen towards the back support area on the lower level.
Additional remodeling on the 2nd floor will begin later this summer and the complete remodel will take several months. Thank you for your patience while we get a modern new look. Come get a tour when you’re here for next year’s forum!
