Change of Company Name

We recently changed our corporate structure from Software Technology, Inc. to Software Technology, LLC. We are going through our print and digital materials to reflect this change, but we also ask that you change any references to Software Technology, Inc. in your materials as well. Even though we are an LLC, we will continue to use the STI acronym. Some habits are hard to break.

Here are some materials you might want to review:

  • Your website
  • Your email signatures
  • Emails and letters
  • Printed marketing materials
  • Tradeshow banners

New Reseller Locator Available

We debuted a new way the reseller listings are displayed on our website. I am confident that this change will look more modern and help prospects more easily find your listing.

Previously, if a prospect wanted to view resellers in their area, they either had to click on the reseller map or know which region they’re in and click on the appropriate link on the left side bar.

This format created problems for prospects who live near the borders of those regions. For example, what if they’re in Colorado? They have three regions they could search for the nearest reseller. Even worse, if they were in Kentucky, they would have five regions they could search for the nearest reseller.

Then, when they went to their region, resellers were organized 1st by President’s Circle members and 2nd by Last Name. This could cause issues, because unless they know Florida’s geography well, it’d be hard to find a reseller that was near them in Orlando.

I am excited to debut a more modern and user friendly way to display our resellers – searching for resellers based on zip code.

1099-MISC Webinar on December 14th

On Wednesday, December 14th at 1pm Central Time, we will hold a webinar in conjunction with Nelco on filing 1099-MISC forms with Tabs3 software. We will also mention the new deadlines for filing 1099-MISC forms.

Important CompuLaw Integration Notice

We wanted to remind you all that Aderant is not planning to update nor support CompuLaw Calendar Rules that currently integrate with PracticeMaster after December 31, 2016.

In other words, while your clients’ CompuLaw calendar plans will still exist within PracticeMaster, they will no longer update after December 31, 2016.

We will email PracticeMaster clients in the coming weeks reminding them of this change, and you might be sent CalendarRules leads. In order to receive the 15% commission form CalendarRules, you need to sign their reseller agreement (linked below) and send to [email protected].

We’re excited to announce our new integration partner, CalendarRules!

CalendarRules.com offers general civil litigation-related court and agency Rule Sets for State, Federal, Appellate and Bankruptcy courts across the United States. Currently, rules are available in all 50 states, with additional courts being added every month.

CalendarRules makes updated rules available to the end user in real time. Courts generally announce updates in two ways:

  1. Many updates are published for comment, with a scheduled effective date. CalendarRules makes these updates in their staging environment and releases them to production on the effective date. Thereafter, any subscriber to that court is automatically using the new rules.
  2. Sometimes a court will publish rule changes with an immediate effective date. CalendarRules is positioned to make these changes effective immediately.
