PracticeMaster Platinum Program Update Notice

An issue was recently discovered that could result in a program lock-up after canceling a column sort.

The option to cancel a column sort, which requires building a temporary index, was added to PracticeMaster Platinum in Version 16.1.

We have posted updated program files on our Version 16 Download Site that removed the ability to cancel a column sort in order to prevent the issue from occurring.

We are currently working with FairCom on an update to the Platinum server to restore the “Cancel” functionality. We plan on updating our Platinum users as soon as this issue is resolved.

Version 16 PracticeMaster Platinum users should update their program files as soon as possible to avoid unnecessary problems in the future. In the meantime, users can create permanent indexes for the columns they wish to sort.

Our Technical Support Department is available to assist you with any questions you may have.

We appreciate your cooperation and thank you in advance for downloading this update in a timely manner.

Default date logic updated for Tabs3 and PracticeMaster

The Tabs3 Fee, Cost, and Payment editors, as well as the PracticeMaster Fee and Cost editors will now default the date of new records to that of the last record ADDED during the editing session. It will default to “Today” if it is the first record added during the session.

Before this change, Tabs3 defaulted the transaction date to the date of the last record ADDED or CHANGED. PracticeMaster always defaulted to the current date.
