Version 16 is Released!

We are excited to announce that version 16 has been released!  Not only is version 16 packed with new features to help you sell Tabs3 and PracticeMaster Software, but new marketing materials are available, with more on the way.  If you haven’t done so already, check out our web site and eNews for changes and additions!  Look for new press releases and brochures, as well as new video clips for Matter Manager, WorkFlows, E-mailing Statements and Contacts.  Other version 16 changes of note include Client Server to Platinum terminology, and new prices for PracticeMaster Basic and Premier.

With the official release, the beta period is now over, and all orders will be version 16.  In a few months, we will begin updating firms on maintenance.  We expect to have all updates sent by the end of the year.

Below is a sample email you should send to your active leads as soon as possible.  On April 5 we will send your active leads another email regarding version 16, that encourages them to contact you to learn more.  On Monday, March 28 we will email all of your closed leads from the past year, and encourage them to contact you to learn more.

Please contact your Sales Representative if you have questions.

—————–

Thank you for your interest in Tabs3 and PracticeMaster Software. I just spoke with Dan Berlin, the President of Software Technology.  He told me that Tabs3 and PracticeMaster version 16 has been released!  There are several new features that I would like to talk to you about, or even show you.  For example:

  • Amazing e-mailing statement capabilities – automated, custom e-mails with PDF statements for your clients.
  • New Tabs3 Client Inactivity Report – easily identify clients with no activity during a specified time frame.
  • PracticeMaster Workflows (Premier only) – automate office procedures.
  • Matter Manager – See all case related documents, e-mails, contacts, and more in one window so that you can quickly find what you’re looking for.

Version 16 Trial CDs are now available, just contact me if you would like one.  I would like to discuss or demonstrate these features to you.  Let me know if you have any questions as you consider your purchase of Tabs3 and PracticeMaster, and obviously let me know if you are ready to place your order!

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Manuals

With the release of version 16, Platinum manuals will no longer be included with orders.  Manuals for Platinum and all other products can be found in electronic format on trial CDs, software CDs, as well as our web site.  Remember, the help built right into the programs is a better source for assistance and troubleshooting, as is Knowledge Base.

Version 16 Preparation

It’s time to get ready for version 16!  Are you ready?  Let’s get the word out!  Now is the time to broadcast all of the great new features to prospects, and even resurrect leads you haven’t worked on in a while.  We’ll do our part by promoting version 16 in free webinars for Tabs3 and PracticeMaster next month.  We’ll market these webinars to leads that you have marked as lost over the last twelve months, and of course, refer them back to you if they express interest.

A new PDF is available with pricing changes, while a new trifold PDF is ready to help you do your own promoting.  These PDFs are found in eNews, and are located by selecting the Marketing tab, then Brochures.

What should you do to get ready for Version 16?

We hope you are as excited as we are to provide clients with yet another feature rich, reliable update!

Tabs3 Single-User 19 and 39 timekeeper prices removed

One of the changes to our web site and marketing materials you will soon notice is the removal of Tabs3 single-user 19 and 39 timekeeper levels.  These are still available for purchase, but only 2, 5 and 9 timekeeper levels will be visibly promoted.  Firms requiring 19 timekeepers and higher should consider multi-user or Platinum as their first option.  Be sure to make note of these changes.

Version 16 Trial CDs and materials

Get Ready!  Beginning Tuesday, March 15th, we will send version 16 Trial CDs and materials to anyone that requests information.  You can view the updated version 16 brochures and pricing pages in the Marketing section of eNews.  Contact your Sales Representative with any questions.

Converting from Older Systems

Effective immediately, clients running Version 11 or earlier who want to update to a more current version will need to send in their data for conversion. We discontinued support for Version 11 on January 1, 2010.

Users can convert their own data or work through a reseller. However, if a firm does not have all the items they need to do the conversion themselves, they will need to send in their data because we will no longer be providing conversion instructions or programs for Version 11 and earlier conversions.

Pricing for in-house conversions can be found in KB article, R10796 – Billable Support Policy.

Software Packages

When receiving orders from us, it is important to carefully inspect the contents of any package prior to forwarding on, or delivering it to your customers.  You want to be sure you have received the proper materials, and that nothing has been damaged during transit.  Potential issues can be resolved much sooner, and it can prevent delays with clients.

There are rare occasions when packages arrive damaged, and you should notify us immediately so that we can file a claim.  In this event we will send a replacement at no charge, using the same shipping method used to send the original package.  We will replace a damaged program master disk if notified within 7 days of delivery, so be sure to review it upon arrival.

Hold on to the package until you’ve received verification from us that a claim has been settled.  It can be discarded at that point.  If you ever receive a package that is obviously damaged prior to even opening, simply refuse it noting the reason that the package was damaged and call us immediately.
